2D animation

2D animation figures are created and/or edited on the computer using 2Dbitmap graphics or created and edited using 2D vector graphics. This includes automated computerized versions of traditional animationtechniques such as interpolated morphing, onion skinning and interpolated rotoscoping. 2D animation has many applications, including analog computer animation, Flash animation and PowerPoint animation. Cinemagraphs are still photographs in the form of an animated GIF file of which part is animated.

3D animation is digitally modeled and manipulated by an animator. The animator starts by creating an external 3D mesh to manipulate. A mesh is a geometric configuration that gives the visual appearance of form to a 3D object or 3D environment. The mesh may have many vertices which are the geometric points which make up the mesh; it is given an internal digital skeletal structure called an armature that can be used to control the mesh with weights. This process is called rigging and can be programmed for movement with key frames.
Other techniques can be applied, such as mathematical functions (e.g., gravity, particle simulations), simulated fur or hair, and effects such as fire and water simulations. These techniques fall under the category of 3D dynamics.

Hundreds of thousands of classrooms, perhaps more than a million in the US (I don’t have world-wide numbers), have been equipped with what we’ll call “Classroom Projectors” over the span of the last 15 years.  There has been a steady flow of technology funding from government to school districts, and equipping classrooms with projectors, especially at high school level, has been a school priority.

Just so you know, in this section think K-12 classroom, rather than the 100 – 500 seat “classrooms” found at many universities.  Those university classrooms usually end up with pricier, brighter projectors with advanced networking, and more.

Teachers are relying more heavily on classroom projectors at all grade levels, but especially high school. Schools and more often School Districts are usually in the market to find the biggest bang for their buck. With budgets always tight, it often comes down to how many more classrooms we can equip, if we go with a classroom projector with less features.

Each year, the performance of projectors designed with classroom use in mind (a large percentage) improves, and the prices manage to fall.

The most common classroom projectors currently being installed in classrooms have XGA or WXGA resolution, and brightness of 2500 to 4000 lumens.

There is both a great deal of interest and a lot of activity when it comes to interactive projectors in the classroom.  Just about every projector company targeting the schools is now offering multiple interactive projectors and often some very different ones.

If your requirement is the lowest possible price, there are still a number of lower resolution SVGA projectors out there, with prices from perhaps $300.  In 2013, the first entry level 1080p (or WUXGA) resolution projectors have come down well below $1000.    This makes using a few of them in a school, practical for special applications, including some science classes, perhaps engineering, art, and architecture, and others, without completely breaking the budget.

In addition, Federal Skilled Worker (Professional) applicants must attain at least 67 points based on Citizenship and Immigration Canada's (CIC) immigration selection factors.

A maximum of 25,000 total applications will be accepted under this stream. A maximum of 1,000 applications will be accepted per eligible occupation

Education:

 The Education Factor is one of the six factors for which points are awarded by Canadian Immigration Officers in determining whether a Skilled Worker / Professional applicant will be accepted or refused.

Education points will be awarded based on an assessment of educational credentials by a designated Canadian organization. This assessment will indicate the foreign credential's equivalent in Canada. 

Up to 25 points are awarded under the Education Factor on the following basis:

Language Skills:

The Language Skills Factor is one of the six factors for which points are awarded by Canadian Immigration Officers in determining whether a Skilled Worker / Professional applicant will be accepted or refused.

Up to 28 points are awarded under the Language Skills Factor based upon the applicant's ability to speak Canada's two official languages. Up to 24 points are awarded for comptenency in a first language (English or French), and 4 are awarded for a second language (English or French). The applicant may indivate either the English or French language as the first or second language for the purpose of being assessed under the Language Skills Factor.

All Skilled Worker (Professional) applicants must include International Enlish Language Testing System with their application so that points for the language section may be awarded. No other method of indicating linguistic abilities will be accepted.

Through their chosen exam, applicants must prove that they meet or exceed a minimum threshold in all four language abilities (listening, reading, speaking, writing). This threshold is set at Canadian Language benchmark (CLB) 7, which is defined as "adequate intermediate proficiency". Applicants who score below the CLB threshold are not eligible to apply to the Federal Skilled Worker program at this time. 

Credits for Language Skills are awarded on the following basis:

Adaptability:

A maximum of 10 points can be received in this category. These 10 points can either come from full-time work in Canada, or a combination of 6 other possible adaptability factors.

Points are awarded on the Adaptability Factor on the basis of factors which are expected to improve an applicant's ability to become economically established in Canada as follows:

Arranged Employment is possible when a Canadian employer extends an OFFER OF FULL-TIME PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT IN CANADA- Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) and Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) are responsible for determining whether a particular job offer made by a Canadian employer to a foreign individual should be approved.

ESDC confirmation is based on the following conditions:

·         The offer of employment is genuine;

·         The wages and working conditions of the employment are sufficient to attract and retain Canadians; and

·         The employment is full-time and not seasonal.

The Job Offer 
Canadian Employers are required by CIC and ESDC to prepare a formal employment contract or a Job Offer Letter for future employees, which must include:

·         Job title for the position being offered;

·         Job description, including main duties and responsibilities;

·         Requirements for the position – a list of necessary professional credentials, education, skills, experience, and licenses, as required;

·         Details about start and end dates (if applicable) of the position;

·         Specifics about the salary you are offering – both wages and other forms of payment;

·         The name and address of the employer, the address of the employee’s future place of work, and the details of a contact person at the Canadian company who is familiar with the job offer.

Along with verifying that the job offer is genuine, ESDC will ensure that the conditions the Canadian company is offering are consistent with Canada standard.  Once ESDC has confirmed the job offer with a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), CIC will grant employment authorization for the company's future employees to work in Canada.

Please note: If the employment is to take place in the Province of Quebec, the job offer must also be approved by the Quebec Government.
